five things you probably don't know about me.

• i use the word 'goofy' a lot, instead of weird or bizarre. but i say it in a suspicious tone of voice.


• part of my job involves forging the dean's signature. if you were waitlisted at harvard in the social sciences in the last two years, that was my handiwork, sorry.


• when i first moved to oregon, i thought sunny delight was a dish soap, not a drink. i got really grossed out at lunchtime that year, and i'm still not fully convinced.


• i am a very good parallel parker, i learned in a huge van.


• i intensely dislike certain shows, based solely on their theme song/opening notes. examples: seinfeld, law & order, sex and the city, frasier. theme songs/opening notes that can instantly repair a bad day: the simpsons, six feet under, the sopranos, carnivale.

I used to use the word goofy a lot myself, in the same way. But I think I might have unconsciously phased it out a few years ago.

Also, I think Sun Light is the name of a dish soap, or at least it was. I don't know if they make it anymore. But that is a discomforting similarity. You'd think the marketers would have called each other first or something.

i agree! plus, sunny delight is a really viscous liquid, and it looks more like a thick soap than a clear juice. also, the bottles are a weird semi-opaque plastic that looked *exactly* like the design of a dish detergent bottle back in 1989 or whenever that was.

On the theme song front, you definitely don't want to hang out with me. My cell phone rings the Sex & the City theme,which I think is wonderful and makes me do a sort of shaking shimmying dance, a little bit like (but still different from) the Will & Grace theme song. Joy of joys.

Also, you owe me questions for that interview thing! la la.

shit! you know, the interview thing actually popped into my head yesterday in the shower. blame the tylenol cold & flu. i shall get a-crackin'.


also, persnicket.net is now over at geekhosting (i bought the plan) but i still have to call the ipowerweb folks and tell them where to re-point the domain name. yay!
