stupid confrontation with misogynist saudi grad student who stared at my breasts and tried to get me to give him a letter i didn't have and couldn't get for him and then finally said oh can i call his cell personally to tell him he's been cleared for registration and oh can i send the letter to his house because he's a lawyer (did he mention he's a lawyer? by the way, he's a lawyer) and he has to leave town and i got angry and tried to explain that the person he needed wasn't here and he wanted me to tell him about cross-registration and i told him we don't do that here and he looked at me like i was some pissant secretary and then he left and i ran back to my desk and broke a pen and oh hate hate hate hate. i hate the middle eastern studies students. they are always evil. they always ruin my day. why did he have to come in on friday. why.

he was. my skin crawled just seeing him. janie (my boss) asked me if i would sit in on her meeting with him, to present a more unified front, and so she would have a witness in case he said anything squirrely. i told her i'd only sit in on the meeting if i could cut off my breasts first. we laughed, but i put on my bulky sweater anyway.
