crazy afternoon. phonecalls walk-ins hall conferences whiny students funding disasters missing files emergency photocopies leapfrogging emails unresolved to-do list aaaghgh! maybe my coffee was too strong this morning. jumpy jumpy.

i need to slow down, my eyes get wide and i forget to blink. speed up slow down. need to close files and finish tasks instead of doing this jacob's ladder mobius strip craziness. tick tick tick. forty minutes left.


i think my brain is getting way too excited about the increased daylight. usually it is mostly dark by now but right now there are still rays of sun coming through my curtains! eeee hurry up spring.

no paycheck yet...i'm going in tomorrow to fill out all the paper work that will make it all official. and i get to plan my first official event the first wednesday of february. eeep! i'm thinking i want to show a movie...any suggestions of good queer-friendly films?

i did get to help hang up a large banner for the 12th annual drag show auditions. i felt very official...woooooo.

oooh, what about screening an episode of 'the L word'? haha. just kidding. i haven't seen it but i hate it already.


um. all the ones i can think of right now are examples of really shitty ones, like 'go fish'. how about 'bound'? that's kind of hot, if a little cliche. that was a classic when i was in h.s. or 'high art' which is pretty depressing, but the blonde chick in it is cute even if ally sheedy is disgustingly skeletal. i really can't think of any truly good ones. maybe 'priscilla queen of the desert' but that's so godamn cliche, too. it's all a cliche! nothing is real anymore! (sob, sob, run from room)



you should collect $$ and come to boston to see a production by the gold dust orphans! they're this drag queen theatre troup that my friend lisa does costumes for. they always do spoofs of classic hollywood movies. they did one called 'the gulls', a parody on 'the birds'; the current show is 'pussy on the house' to spoof 'cat on a hot tin roof'. i haven't been to see one yet, but they're supposed to be hilarious.
