aslanttoday i bought two pairs of shoes! a tall pair of brown boots, $20, the first pair of boots that have felt even remotely comfortable in two years. i have not been this tall in a long time :) and then a pair of low brown maryjanes, with white curved stitching across the toes. ahh shoes.
i think it will take approximately 1.2 days for them to become coated in white dried road-salt residue :(

Date: 2004-02-01 08:31 am (UTC)i swear to you i have tried on hundreds of pairs of boots, i used to be exclusively a boot-wearer in high school and college. it was traumatic to suddenly not be able to find any that were comfortable! so i think it was absolute fate that we spur-of-the-moment went into famous footwear and they had a $20 boot sale and i found a pair that fit! rejoice, rejoice, etc.

Date: 2004-02-01 09:29 am (UTC)i am staying away from retail places, but that also means I have to make myself spend less tiem online because i shop HERE too and that's when it gets bad. I took this quiz this morning that was like "are you in control of your money?", it was on the main msn page so i took it and it was like "Whoa! You've lost your mind!" haha. So i'm really, earnestly trying to learn how to budget now, put money away, and also get on the horn about another job. whether it's just another part time to supplement the current one or just a full time office job (which would be ideal)
also: we should talk soon about the NY metro article, cause i was like, yo. wtf.
