i fought the dentistry beast! it was a draw.

i went to my dentist appointment this morning. routine cleaning + 2 cavities drilled and BOY HOWDY was i a baby about it. oh god. crying, shaking, clutching the hand of some poor nurse. dr michaelowski was so patient though, explaining everything and staying reasonable even when i went into semi-hysterics every thirty seconds. i am so glad that is over. ugh. i'm staying home for the rest of the day--not that there's anything to be done at work anyway, but my whole face is numb and i can hardly speak, so.

my task now is to find my old nightguard, thereby avoiding having a new one made. those things are $500 and my insurance doesn't cover any of it. bastards! i know it's somewhere. i just hope i didn't throw it out in some fascist I WILL NEVER USE THIS AGAIN SO GOOD RIDDANCE fit of cleaning.

we're supposed to get 6-10 inches of snow later this afternoon. i am going to snuggle up with the kittens and nap and read about the yin yu tang house to my heart's content.

oh YAY! for clean teeth! i'm so so (so) jealous. after i got off the phone with you (among other things) i brushed my teeth for THREE AND A HALF minutes! and then i flossed really well, too! (aren't you proud? (miss clean-bathroom lady?))

and now i'm dealing with this:

the fucking phone was cut off. we still have our internet, but the phone was cut off. we can't make out going calls, but people can call us. goddamnit. i started packing today. i couldn't be happier. that house is killing me. i've been sick for three months straight. i'm gone.
