two images stuck in my head:

1. i was watching a cirque du soleil performance on tv over the weekend and in one bit, a single clown in drag as nina simone was spotlit in darkness, lipsynching her song 'ne me quitte pas'. the spot kept wandering off and the clown had to chase it around the stage. finally the spot blinks out entirely. when it blinks back on, the clown is pointing a gun at the light.

2. i was fooling around with paints and watercolor crayons on sunday, trying to copy a painting of a friendly monster we saw at christopher's on friday night. but i ended up with a series of tiny houses on fire in a bleak yellow landscape. hmm.

PS I'm totally in love with Cirque du Soleil. I must've watched Varekai like 80 billion times, and the Bravo behind the scenes series was one of my favorite things ever.

Also, it was during a watching of Varekai that some girl tried to stick her hands down my pants. Just FYI.

i am okay, yes, i'm not massively depressed really. i'm saving that for the plane ride. ha! i am so funny.

no, really. i'm just MASSIVELY busy today, trying to tie up a billion loose ends since i'll be gone from work for a whole week. ack. filing. must go!
