i returned an hour or so ago from my interview for the publicity associate position at the harvard university press. i had to walk a ways down garden street but thankfully did not end up too sweaty & flustered when i got there.

i think it went rather well...mary kate was very open and nice and had a designer-shoe-of-the-day desk calendar (jenn, i thought of you) and a princess crown hung askew on a lamp. a very good communicator, more to the point, which is a refreshing difference from my current boss (too quiet, occasionally passive-aggressive). physically, there would be less space, and i almost felt oversized for the office (the two girls working in there were both rather tiny); there is also much less privacy, as anyone can walk right up behind you at the door. ah well. it is important to remember that essentially i am at entry-level in this office, and would be moving to an entry-level publicity position that would at least pay a lot more. also---part of me would be sad to leave this job because physically it is so nicely set up, all my systems are in place. but let's not put the cart before the horse. i'm enthusiastic about how it went and i am not going to stress out about hearing back from them.

ha. she used to live in new york and was very new yorky in certain ways. she seemed very sweet. it was actually a teensy bit depressing to go from her office (bright, sunny, well-decorated and neat) to the office i'd be in (dark, cool, slightly messy). oh well. i will bring order wherever i go, so it's no use worrying about it in advance.

no aim. bad jesse! i have to catch up on work since i was out for almost two hours for the interview.
