footsteps

leaving today for the wake tonight, and the funeral tomorrow. in a four day span i will see, most likely, my entire extended family. mom's for the funeral, dad's for the anniversary soiree, up at the mansion.

and c's grandfather died last night, too.

things are afoot with j & j. terrible patterns grinding into place. star orbits. collision paths. lately we all clench our hands together in dim rooms and speak very hushed about how very fucked up things seem to be lately. a manic patch in our lives.

also l was at smith! and so was jm! and i got to see neither of them! l's letter arrived yesterday, tidings of comfort and frustration.
