kirk's friend eric is in town to visit us this weekend! here is what we all did yesterday, in list form:

• walk to johnny's bakery, find it closed
• walk to mildred's cafe, find it too full
• drive to junction cafe, have cheap diner food and "the world's best coffee" (debatable)
• drive to salem, borrow quarters for the meter from the baobab man
• go to harrison's comics, buy a fafi rollergirl!
• walk around witchy salem stores, mourn the loss of our collective youth, when we would have all died to visit such shops
• salem beerworks for lunch, yummy quesadilla and a sip of eric's watermelon beer (amazing)
• return home - stop at the (closed) baobab store to leave two quarters wedged in his door in thanks
• T into boston -- i went to derby practice, k & e went to panedemonium books & games and then walked to boston common from central square
• home to dinner, rotisserie chicken, salad, macaronic salad, and sloe gin fizz
• risk 2210, at which my red army KICKED ASS until we got too tired at 2am and declared a truce
