Mar. 23rd, 2009 09:09 amthis weekend was a lovely tiny vacation from the world. we slept in, we took two naps in one day. read good books and watched back episodes of big love. we didn't look at a single real estate listing, which felt so nice. on sunday we opened up a big pad of art paper and made some art together-but-separately, and then drove up to my parents' house, where we snuggled and played with my adorable nephew while a huge pot of marinara simmered away on the stove. spaghetti and roasted eggplant and garlic bread for dinner, then driving home during an immense, epic sunset. more reading, then early to bed.
not a single obligation. it was so nice to step away from real estate stuff -- looking at it obsessively is one of those online poisons i have to ration in order to live peacefully.
