for my 30th birthday yesterday:

walking in the neighborhood despite being tired
a long shower
being lazy in bed with the cat and the husband
lunch at deschutes brewery
browsing kitchen things in anthropologie
books at powell's i've been coveting
half-napping on the couch in the heat
dinner with my family, grilled shrimp, lobster tail, salad, corn
jennie showing up as a surprise
beautiful blue topaz necklace & earrings from kirk
a sunset so beautiful it took my breath away
to bed early, but not early enough


it's nice to be 30. i think it's going to be a good year.
