sunday we discovered there is a trader joe's and a whole foods market all of two miles from our house, and we bought lots of yummy tj things. later, after we tried to hook up a new hd cable to the xbox, we began having mysterious sound problems. so we were unable to watch the series finale of six feet under; it must wait until the samsung repairman visits us. we did, however, enjoy a wonderful sunset walk along the water, so phooey to tv even if it is my favorite show in the whole wide world.

thank you :) i am only a fan when it is late-ish in the day. it's the glare and the heat of the sun that i can't stand. it was pretty muggy and gross all weekend, so the fresh air was a treat, too.

i'm having to force myself not to read the havrilesky article, or any others i see. our evil tv let us watch just the first two scenes before the sound cut out, so all i know is some vague information about brenda's new baby. so frustrating! i'm deliberately forcing myself not to care...i get so worked up about stuff like this but really the point of our digital video recorder cablebox is to not be so tied down to the tv's schedule.
