mail love, the darth boot, and french toast heaven.

last night i received another boxful of wonder from megan. have i mentioned that megan sends me amazing boxes of books? and postcards? megan, you are so good to me. i am reading the goose girl and it is a perfect magic middle-reader to fall asleep to. i wish i had dreamt of swan princesses, but i didn't (though i might as well have).

2.
this is week 2 of 4 in my fiberglass cast. when my 4 weeks are up, i really hope they will agree it's time for a removeable walking boot cast (a.k.a. "the darth"), because i am tired of sticking spoon handles down into it to cool off my poor skin and itch it a little.

3.
if you ever know a sick person and want them to feel better, send them a basket with wolferman's 1910 original recipe english muffin bread, which makes the most perfect french toast. so yummy. we used up all of ours on saturday and now i want mooore. yum.

i will make a concerted effort to write a mini-review of each in this current box. it will make me pay more attention as i go! but yes, at least the beginning of goose girl is very pleasantly magical and pretty :)

well, i'm a poor thing who has a convenient excuse to stay home from work whenever she wants! so interpret that as you will :) having a cast sucks, but at least it's over when it's over. i'm lucky it wasn't worse.

(i told k last night about your incident, he was shocked about it as well, but laughed when i mentioned the magnum pi thing :) hehe.)
