good news

according to the doctor, i'm not supposed to wear the walking boot anymore. i am supposed to wear real shoes! and walk like a real person instead of a robot! and only use one crutch, or maybe just a cane!

this is deeply exciting and deeply scary at the same time. but i have all weekend to practice before i get to show it off to my classmates. so i am going to do my gimpy best.

i wish my cane were cooler! it is very boring metal and plastic. at least it does not have my name plastered ALL OVER IT like my crutches, which my mother was determined to label while i was in the hospital! ha.

go jesse go! That's wonderful. I'm sure that having a cane/crutch as opposed to a big ole boot will do wonders for your peace of mind. There's so much visual reinforcement coming from wearing something 'of that size' on one's leg. I hope this will help with the other spots and thoughts, as well.
