our new bicycles

this weekend, for our sixth anniversary, kirk and i bought each other bicycles.

we went for a ride around the neighborhood, during which i did not die or fall over once! wow. though my ass does hurt. supposedly i will "get used to" my pelvis being arbitrarily split in two, though i have my doubts.

It will maybe be a challenge to go on bike rides together though with one fixed gear bike? heh
Let me know how that works, I've been wanting one but thought it would be difficult alongside Ryan on his road bike.

well, we will probably stay off hills since my gears aren't that awesome, either. on flat surfaces and small hills, he kept up really well...he had to hold back a lot, in fact. he kept saying, "it wants to go fast!"
