yikes, sounds like we are in the same boat! september is usually hot here, summer's not technically over until october in portland. but it still sucks, especially when we have no a/c :/
the monkey is from a kit i bought. i was surprised at how difficult it was to make -- lots of my stitches show on the outside, and there were parts where i was genuinely confused at how to attach pieces. like i just kind of made up how to attach the tail and arms, eventually. and i can't use the pearl eyes that came with it if i want the baby to play with it, so for now it's a blind sock monkey! ha.
