oh, life has been extra delicious today! i've been waiting for a $1200 medical expense reimbursement check, much needed to pay our hospital bills, and this morning i called to check on it. oh no! it had been mailed, but cashed by someone else! alert! fraud, thievery! spent my morning amped up on adrenaline, anger, fear; filed police reports; got a check copy; went to the bank (not mine) where it was cashed to inquire about fraud procedures. came back to work to find frantic messages from the check issuer because oops, sorry, actually our bad, our company deposited that check and forgot to tell you. so...no fraud, case closed, check reissued and awaiting pickup! all is well. except for that colossal THANK CHRIST and also FUCK YOUUUUU stewing in my brain.
