the dfci job is still unfilled! i'm still a candidate. oh i am so so very very happy. i was so depressed and convinced it was over. but no. next week, says hr.

the sky is all kinds of stripey golden orange cloud heavenness. i want to swim up into it. it was indian summer today. returning from my run i felt muscle-dead from the heat, sauna-like. slick sweat running down the shoulder. i can now see that muscle along the scalpula that the chiropractor pointed out, my atrophied posture lines. it improves every day. i'm still winning.

r is coming for tomorrow's party! and h has been invited! numerous other deities also coming soon to the sugar bowl.

i realize october is over and my month of palindromes is over. i'm still unreasonably attached to them. i get uneasy when the numbers don't match up. good thing november is my favorite month. nov-ember. new fire.

but meanwhile;

my distance sits uneasily with me. i shouldn't interfere. i have no solutions, no tools, no magic. no knots i can untie.

no way to tell the story of no.

The random function is remarkable.

I hit the random option, and lo, here you are, and here I is. Funny how similar interests and age can create a false sense of connection with a total stranger. I feel obligated to inform you that I have read some of your journal, though these things are by nature mostly innocuous. At any rate, I had a strange sense of nostalgia and recognition wash over me while reviewing a selection of your entries. I don't know you. How strange it is to feel like I do.

i begin to think it is becoming oddly normal, now, to find so many people that i read and connect to. now there is you, too. this huge community and i wonder at finding similar spirits....perhaps not as unlikely a coincidence as i (we) may think.

i am pleased you read my journal :) now i will go and sift through yours.

happy reading,
jesse.
