dream : the brat voice on the telephone, lost, the familiar whine. corners and avenues, my frustration a rising gorge. i wake knowing i've confused the names and faces. cramped over in the margin of the sheet. & then the right name dying in my mouth with the dregs of the dream.
dream : $50,000.
dream : dried violets. a crumpled paper bag. satin gowns. the terse face of control.
