a strange loose-limbed and constant unspoken sensation of having sex all weekend (thanks ak) except there is none, none to be found.

elaborate dreams of hospitals and frantic women and katie and flight. will elaborate monday.

& every time the phone rang i thought it was you.

ah,

i'd forgotten about the attachments. i started reading the book but didn't get very far before brian and his stupid tickets interfered. i will go look at it later. when i'm not talking to you. it's not awful. it's like walking around invisibly behind you.

hmmm, kind of. it gets better the more of it I wrote. 4:20. one hour ten minutes.

tell me a story.

4:20. ha. i always make a wish at 4:20. or 11:11. or 2:22. etc. magic minute.

a story:
once upon a time there was a boy. his name was a. there was also a girl. her name was j. they sat down one day to figure things out, but couldn't get the words exactly right. so they decided to tell stories instead. tell me a story, said a. so j said, once upon a time there was a boy.

no. that's not a good story. it would take me longer to write a better one. i can't think of a good one right now. nothing is quite as interesting and poignant as the story i am living in this precise second.

so you leave at 5:30? that's late. you must start later than we do. or do you have long breaks? the english business day confuses me.

a funny story though. we start at 9, and finish at 5:30. and we get an hour for lunch in the middle. not confusing. what about you? I counted hours until it was 9am your morning, and repeatedly checked your lj till you came online.

they've changed all the light orange blinds, for light blue ones. the office feels much cooler.

blue is an excellent color. i think it's my favorite. orange is bad for the digestion, especially orange-colored light. i'm glad they changed it.

i start at 9, hour for lunch (or more, nobody cares) and then home at 5.

i thought you might be checking. that's why i had my sister type in that other entry. and i was reading everything you wrote and all the emails for at least ten minutes before i got ahold of myself and could reply to anything, much less update. i walked this morning to work like fire. i felt invisible.

purple is my favourite. purple and green - like we used on our logo at www.webwerxdesign.ltd.uk...

home at 5. jealous.

I was checking, and very pleased when I found the entry. it confused me that you hadn't replied to any emails. but now I know :)

I'm glad you felt invisible on the way to work. then no-one would harass you.

yes, i was unharassable today. i talked to my friend eireann about the whole men-on-the-street thing and she says it's like that for her sometimes too. but it comes and goes. must be some sort of invisible hormone flow. i don't know.

purple is a good color, too.

maybe they (or we) can detect when you feel vulnerable.

I like all aquatic colours.

i think you (you collective) can. or i'm projecting something. i spend (waste?) so much time and energy trying not to be vulnerable, and it gets me nowhere.

i like water in general. i like the sea. let's run away to the beach in oregon.

maybe, trying not to be vlunerable - is what makes you look vulnerable. you need to not care - which is hard, because you do.

the beach in oregon. I wish I could. well, I could. I wish we would.

i do care. i don't want to disinvolve myself with the world, which is what i would have to do to gain invulnerability (like some sort of spell, i sound like a rpg character).

one day on the train i fell in love with the entire carfull of people. every single one. i couldn't stop grinning. did i write this in my lj already? we were on a bridge going over the charles river and it was so beautiful and bright and there was this one very old chinese man laughing his head off at something, and suddenly i was gripping the rail to not fall down. i wanted to crush everyone in an enormous hug. i was just crushed with how beautiful they all were, and the day and everything else.

i'm a sap, eh?

i wish we would too. our doppelgangers are no dummies--i think they're already there.

i keep thinking of what i would say. i would call my mother on the phone and say, guess where i am? that makes me smile. because even i don't know where i'd be. if i ran away, i mean.

haha. 15 hit points for not caring.

not a sap. a romantic. I'm sure you feel you connect with people you see every day - even though you barely exchange a glance with them. I can relate to that.

I hate our doppelgangers. They're so lucky. I'm going to shave my head - so my doppelganger is not my doppelganger anymore.

you would be wherever you ran to. just make sure you tell me where first, or I will sulk. and gub.

/Beast of Uncaring gets bored and wanders away.

if i ever run away you will be the first to know where and when and how and everything. actually maybe velcro would know before you, but i'd tell you as soon as you came up the stairs.

welcome to the Papyrus of Iguanadon.
The aim of the game is to find the Papyrus of Iguanadon.

/me picks up papyrus of iguanadon.
/me wins the game.
/me says "woo".

velcro wouldn't let you in though. she doesn't know you. and she doesn't have opposable thumbs.
