the barn and the house.
.
thanksgiving day. kirk in the doorway of the barn.

.
a shelf of spikey things! (replacement something-or-others for a something-or-other.)

.
kirk in the sunny half of the barn where all the interesting shelves and endless labelled boxes of things were kept. my fingers kept itching to take something. rows and rows of bolts, nuts, screws, metal gadgets, widgets, and etcetera.

.
a stand of dry trees in one of the nearer fields. this is where the bunnies live - we saw their tracks in the red soil.

.
more rabbit habitat! also possibly the largest tree i could see for miles and miles. every tree there, says kirk, has been planted. they do not grow on their own because there is nothing to slow down the wind, and they become stunted and bent by it.

.
irrigation wheels against the backyard fence (behind which the chickens clucked). and the red roof of his house beyond.

.
our favorite kitten! the smallest one, the cutest one with the huge dark eyes (like my love). her name was baby.
