Feb. 4th, 2006 07:52 pmtoday we walked out and back to nahant, about six miles. nahant is a tiny island with a long beach & causeway leading out to it. last week there was a day of record high tides, and walking on the seawall and the sidewalks along the beaches you could see the evidence -- seaweed and assorted tidal muck was everywhere, even on the road. the rough waves made for some nice beachcombing, though, we came home with pockets full of seaglass. or maybe the beach is always like that, i don't know. we came back with stinging cold ears and red cheeks.
