(no subject)

i'm trying to teach myself to play kirk's mandolin. it is a bitty backpack version, but the sound is still quite nice. we can't find a pick around the house (though i could swear there is one, somewhere), so i've been using one of those little keychain scanner cards from the grocery store. it is oval and is the perfect strength for practicing.

anyway, my fingertips hurt today from the damn strings. i am self-conscious about how loud it is in our quiet apartment, but i hope the neighbors can hear my amateur G scales perfectly; it is my only revenge for their awful constant fights.
