happy 2005!

i made up the part about the sitar and belly dancer, apparently. there was an excellent indian buffet and jazz band, though. we danced and everything. yum.



to do in 2005, with no attempt to point out whose things are whose, because i am drunk, also no point in indicating where exactly all those drinks started kicking in, also because of drunkenness:

- get new job
- put up lots of bookshelves
- submit poems
- spay milou :(
- kitchen? apartment?
- write email poetry edit: some! must keep going.
- finish m.s.
- go to baby's reunion
- take LX exam in jan.
- make big sunday dinners from texas cookbook, once a month?
- consider grad school, then forget about it till next year
- look for new apts
- PAY OFF BED. + CAR.
- reg & insure car (&get mass license)
- go visit jen & conan in waldrop house! DONE! & bring word pasta! (buy pasta maker)
- get museum membership
- go back to salem in springtime
- visit cornell! chris & lauren/amy
- dye my eyebrows
- new dingus for computer (ram!)
- contemplate further computer stuff
- visit noho & mass moca in spring
- copy all cds & sell them
- coerce convince eric to visit
- play a night of Cataan with liz & mike
- puppy? not puppy. (lest we forget)
- go to the beach & wonderland T.
- pet those bunnies
- in general: WRITE IN BARS.
- sleepy
- finish sims2 legacy challenge
- rolly (transl: play katarmari damacy)
- sex with blindfolds
- go to the zoo! & aquarium & see those whales.
- see matinees of oscar nominees
- make litmus playground #2 (W/ jennie & kirk & me)

oh, thank you :) only one passable photo of dozens of glassy-eyed drunker ones, though. i promise the rest were not nearly as flattering.

there are things to do here, we just have to continually convince ourselves to do them. we are very very good at talking ourselves out of doing pretty much anything that involves leaving the house.

happy 2005, dearest. you have many proud accomplishments of 2004 to build a new year upon.

enjoy the black-eyed peas! i hope we have not damned our luck by not buying any lucky food yesterday...we shall have to hunt for open food stores today at some point...

We never really did the good luck brunch in my house, growing up, but I knew alot of people who did, and I like the idea of ceremonial things. I guess I'm not really superstitious about it though. Technically, I think it's supposed to be the first thing you eat, and you're supposed to do it before noon -- it's already 12:30 here and we're still on coffee, so. I like cabbage though. It is always nice to have a reason to eat cabbage.
