a fun weekend, despite the heat...

this weekend was:

• wall-e on friday ♥
• new king size bed
• bought a wii! (thank you pravda for mentioning the shortage was over!)
• indian food, hiding from the 100° heat
• canning strawberry jam on sunday
• hotdogs with mom and dad
• watching my nephew flirt with another 15-month old baby
• reading under the ceiling fan while thunder rolls overhead

there was no bike ride, no weeding the garden, and no attending our friend's new puppy shower, because of the heat. but that ended up being okay, really.

what games do you have? we got zelda and that's it. i wish we'd gotten mario instead, i want to play that one next.

I have a gamefly subscription so I just rented super mario galaxy, but I haven't had a chance to play it because my family is in town until the end of the week. I can't wait to play okami on it -- I loved that game on the ps2. how is zelda? I have it for the GC.

I also just got the internet at home -- and a new tv (mine broke last week, of course, after 10 years and just after I got a 360) -- so I am zooming, finally, into the 21st century! :) I can't wait to play online.

i loved the gc zelda because it was cartoony and cute, and the new one is definitely not as cartoony. so for me, it's less fun. kirk loves it, though. he's barely into the first dungeon level, so i guess we'll wait and see how it develops!
