your afraid of going too fast - so you stay uncomfortable. that could relate to a lot of things. you feel you've missed out too, perhaps when you were younger. the dive off the boat is the most relevant thing - the act of diving into something you're not sure of. you even mentioned the courage it took. the big thing though - is you wait for the second wave. have people already jumped in at the first wave?

aha, afraid of going too fast. good analysis. that's very true. i'm NEVER able to run in my dreams, this is one of handful where i've been able to. usually i can't get the momentum going, like i'm leaning forwards but not going anywhere fast.

"first wave" is confusing. there was a first group of *people* who jumped in, but i hesitated because i hate jumping into water. also this was salt water, which is abnormal, because i would never in a million years jump into saltwater. i'm a wimp about getting water in my eyes, especially salt water. so i waited until it was just myself and this jordan kid, so we wouldn't get splashed or jostled as much when we jumped in.

that's just a little bit of vindication. he was a real asshole in school when we were younger. there is no excuse for behavior like that. i hope he has a painful death. i don't know why i was so neutral toward him in the dream. he just happened to show up, that's all.
